The short version
When you use the calculator on this site, the numbers you type (debt balances, APRs, payments) never leave your device. All calculation happens in your browser. We do not see your numbers, do not store them, and do not transmit them anywhere. The only data that ever leaves your device is the CSV file you choose to download — and that file contains only the numbers you typed in.
What we collect
At the time this policy was written, this site does not have an account system, does not ask for your name or email to use the calculator, and does not set any cookies itself to identify you. The hosting provider and any future ad networks may set their own cookies; see "Third parties" below.
What stays in your browser
- Debt names, balances, APRs, minimum payments, extra payments — typed into the calculator, processed by JavaScript in your browser tab, never sent to a server.
- The payoff order and month-by-month schedule — calculated locally and rendered on the page; not stored server-side.
- The CSV file you download — generated in your browser and saved to your device. We have no access to it after it leaves the page.
Third parties
- Cloudflare — hosts the static files for this site and serves them over HTTPS. Cloudflare may log standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, request time) as part of operating the hosting service. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
- Google Search Console — used by the site operator to monitor how the site appears in Google search results. Search Console does not track individual visitors to this site; it aggregates search performance data for the site owner.
- Third-party advertising (planned, not yet active) — this site intends to display advertising from one or more third-party ad networks in the future. When that happens, ad networks typically set cookies and may collect data for ad personalization. The specific ad networks and their privacy practices will be named here before any ads appear on the site, and visitors in jurisdictions with consent requirements (such as the EU/EEA, UK, and California) will be asked for consent before non-essential cookies are set. The calculator inputs will continue to stay in your browser regardless of whether ads are shown.
Cookies
As of the date of this policy, this site itself does not set any cookies. The hosting provider (Cloudflare) may set technical cookies required to serve the site over HTTPS. When third-party advertising is added in the future, ad networks may set their own cookies; that will be disclosed and consented to before it happens.
Server logs
The hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs standard request metadata — IP addresses, timestamps, requested URLs, referrer, and user agent — as part of operating the hosting infrastructure. These logs are not used to identify individual visitors to this site and are managed under Cloudflare's data retention policies.
Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with data-protection rights, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data that a controller holds about you. Because this site does not collect personal data from the calculator (your inputs stay in your browser), there is no personal data held by the site operator that would be subject to such a request. For any personal data held by the hosting provider or future ad networks, please contact those parties directly.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction) and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes (such as adding a new third-party ad network or a new data-collection practice) will be reflected here before they take effect.
